Late Victorian/Early Edwardian Double Sided 9ct Gold Photo Locket
Charming and feminine late Victorian or early Edwardian hallmarked 9ct yellow gold double sided photo locket, featuring its original bevelled glass windows both back and front.
With hand crafted elegance this locket has the most delicate roses and floral embossing to its oval frame and on top is a traditional screw type mechanism allowing you to remove the glass panels to slip your own treasured photos, dried flowers or lace work inside.
Stamped discreetly with ‘9ct’ in a raised cartouche to the bottom of the locket.
4cm x 2.5cm
Lovely condition, natural patina to the gold which just adds to the charm. Original bevelled glass in excellent condition, no chips or scratches. Slight and not noticeable ‘repair’? to the innermost section of bale, not significant, only noting for accuracy, bale is nice and thick and secure. Screw mechanism works fine, no cross threading, so very easy to operate and open.
