Art Deco Platinum / 18ct Sapphire Old European Cut Diamond ‘One Of A Kind’ Ring Circa 1930
Sold Out Free
Sublime and unusual Art Deco natural Sapphire and Old European Cut diamond ring dating to the late 1920’s early 1930’s. Constructed from 18ct white gold and platinum and stamped as such.
Featuring two natural dark blue sapphires, each of approx 0.34ct each and s securely four prong millgrain fishtail set. The then triangular panels flanking each sapphire are then set with two sweet little OEC diamonds, which are also millgrain bead set.
This wonderful ring almost definitely would have been custom made for the original owner to accomodate one or two solitaire (diamond?) rings to fit in to the unusual and screamingly Art Deco V shaped cut in sections.
These spaces would accomodate many sizes and heights of solitaires, the choice is yours!
The craftsmanship and ingenuity is rarely seen these days as this ring also looks wonderful worn alone or accompanied by any stacking bands of your choice.
The band is thick and solid and traditional flat court.
