This stunning and ethereal antique Moonstone and Sapphire ring boasts to its centre a large oval cabochon Moonstone measuring approx 16mm x 9mm and surrounded by nineteen approx 2.5mm round faceted deep blue Sapphires of Ceylon type.
Beautifully crafted in 9ct rose gold the Moonstone is rim and six claw set, with the halo of sapphires rim and grain set in a scalloped silver topped surround, to tapered shoulders on to a 1.5mm half round band.
The under gallery is lovely, pierced scrolled style, all in 9ct rose gold.
The Moonstone exhibits a lovely adularescence and is quite transparent, a sign of quality.
