Dainty and perfectly pretty 18ct gold and Platinum Diamond ring dating to the Edwardian era.
Modelled in 18ct gold with four antique cut diamonds all grain and bead set in Platinum in a dainty soft corned diamond face.
The central diamond is unusual, a soft cornered square cut with a high pavilion and small table face, we believe this could be a very early cut called a Peruzzi cut.
Surrounding this central diamond are four old Mine cut diamonds.
Tapered upswept shoulders flow to a round D shape shank.
Dainty on the finger measuring 10mm x 9mm but what she makes up for in size she certainly makes up in sparkle!

The Peruzzi cut was also another type of brilliant diamond. So named for Vincent Peruzzi around 1700 it contains 56 facets. Brilliant cuts have many more facets than rose or table cuts as well as having a different facet structure.
