Superb and impeccable ring by ‘Stevenson Bros’ - Adelaide - Circa 1915.
Crafted as a stylised cigar band with a floral scrolling pattern for its full circumference with a 8mm plain section reserved for initials, in this case the original owners initial are faintly inscribed ‘MBG’ we believe. These initials can be easily buffed out if desired, just let us know and we can do this particular one for you.
Rich and buttery in hue with the scrolling floral motifs atop a textured background, the effect is quite stunning.
Hallmarked very clearly and crisply with Stevenson’s name, 18c, and his symbols of a crown and Lion used by several Adelaide jewellers during the era.
This beautiful ring is suitable as a ‘new/old’ wedding ring or just add this special piece of antique Australian jewellery to your collection.
