Charming antique 9ct lush rose gold buckle ring dating to the late Victorian to the very early Edwardian era.
Measuring 10.20mm at the widest point of the buckle and 6.50 there after for the entire circumference of the band this smooth, highly polished all original Victorian buckle ring veritably melts on to the finger!
Popular during the Victorian era (and beyond) the buckle symbolises a binding love between the giver and the wearer and seen as a enduring symbol of unbreakable loyalty and enduring memory.
This particular example is undeniably English in origin and some time in its 100 year plus history has lost its hallmarks due to resizing. Evidence of resizing is only seen under x 10 magnification, the workmanship involved is excellent.
