Antique 18ct Gold Chester Engraved Band Hallmarked 1880

Gorgeous and early fully hallmarked for Chester 1880 18ct wedding band.
So very wearable and current even today, this band is constructed from rich and lush 18ct gold of the colour only gold 120 years old can achieve, this one is a combination of a yellow and rosy hue, which is a bonus as it can mix and match with a variety of your own rings!
With a cross hatch engraved design the full circumference, with very little wear to one section only, remarkable really for its age.
Hallmarked fully for Chester, 18ct and date letter ‘r’ for 1880.

SIZE
Approx M or 16.7mm diameter
Could be resized however this would potentially leave the ring with a plain section of gold.

CONDITION
Very nice antique condition, hallmarks are very crisp and clear, makers mark not punched well so can not distinguish.  Band is nice and thick, no thinning.
Cross hatching engraving slight worn to one area at ‘rear’ of ring… this potentially could be rectified by a competent jeweller but really not a detraction from the early beauty of this ring.
No evidence of prior resizing
