Daisies symbolise innocence and purity.  In Norse mythology, the daisy is Freya's sacred flower. Freya is the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility, and as such the daisy came to symbolise childbirth, motherhood, and new beginnings.  Buckles too serve as a notion of eternal love, loyalty, protection and an unbreakable bond. Quite often, daisies and buckles would be used to create wedding rings to signify the important meaning behind them.

Gloriously wide this antique 9ct buckle ring measures 1.3cm at the widest point tapering at the shoulder to 9mm and graduating to a still wide 7mm at the rear of the band.

Exquisitely chased throughout the ring with a scrolling Ivy and Daisy motif, the Ivy representing everlasting life, devotion and loyalty, the Daisy representing innocence, purity, and new beginnings, and in combination with the buckle design which symbolises a notion of eternal love and an unbreakable bond this ring complete embodies all things sentimental!

Crafted in 9ct rose gold which has then been fire gilded to give that beautiful combination of rose and yellow gold that is so emblematic of antique jewellery.

The beautifully chased pattern is in excellent condition, crisp and almost as perfect as the day this one was crafted by Kinsey Brothers & Patrick - Birmingham around 120 years ago.

Very very good antique condition.  Floral pattern is very crisp and clear.  Solidly made substantial ring.  Under very close scrutiny/loupe, we believe the tip of the buckle may have had a very early reinforcement.  Please note this has been assessed with our jeweller and is in perfectly stable condition.  Only noting for accuracy, does not affect the beauty of this ring.
