Laybys welcome! Contact Us today to secure your dream piece.
Utterly charming Victorian Mizpah ring crafted from 9ct rose gold in Birmingham 1891 and hallmarked for manufacture by I. S Greenberg & Co of Frederick Street and subsequently Great Hampton Street Birmingham.

Modelled as a wide band which tapers from a wide almost 1cm at the front, with stylised Gothic script which is graduated atop the textured background to the then floral chased band.

Popular during the Victorian era and given and worn as a token of love or friendship.
Rosy in colour with that hue only true Victorian jewellery seems to possess and given the contrast between the polished plain script and the textured background this ring veritably glows!

In lovely condition for her 111 years of age showing only slight wear to the fine chasing to one side and the very rear of the shank this beauty looks wonderful on the finger and is a pleasure to wear.

“The term ‘Mizpah’ is a Hebrew word found in the book of Genesis 31:49 which means ‘Watchtower’ and it interpreted as ‘May gold watch over you”
