Quite a marvellous early Australian 15ct yellow gold ‘Jabot’ sword style pin by Duggin and Shappere Circa 1905.

Crafted from rich and bright 15ct yellow gold and set with natural Opals possibly from Coober Pedy, and garnets, two of which (in the spear end) are rose-cut garnets similar to Perpignan garnets.

Designed and made by one of our renowned early Australian jewellery firms Duggin and Shappere 1896-1932 Melbourne, and hallmarked beautiful with their mark.
Quite a large example at 7cm x 2.2cm this lovely and scarce piece is perfect the way it is however it could also be very easily converted to a horizontal pendant with the addition of a gold chain by your jeweller.
